Based on some dynos I've seen on this site, merely adding hi-po cams without dialing them in may result in worse numbers than running stock cams. This likely varies from engine to engine, but it is my observation. Even if its true in 1 of 3 cases, I wouldnt want to be the guy who just threw down a grand and my performance went down. IMO, better off to stay with stock cams until you're ready to invest $2k including adjustable gears.
